Commercial Health Related / Vector Control
Vectors are insects and other organisms that can transmit fungus, virus, disease, and other nasty stuff. Pests and their associated waste can serve as a carrier to transmit unwanted diseases and bacteria into your environment. We take vector control and health related pest control very seriously and offer the following solutions, which include, but are not limited to:
Mosquito Control (West Nile Virus)
Mosquito-borne diseases kill more people worldwide than any other single factor. In the United States, mosquitoes spread several types of encephalitis, dog heartworm, and malaria. On top of these other diseases, West Nile Virus (WNV) is now a nationwide threat. Depending on temperature, mosquitoes can develop from an egg to an adult in as little as 4 to 7 days. The larval and pupal states can be found in a variety of aquatic habitats, including discarded containers, tires, temporary woodland pools, tree and crab holes, salt marshes, irrigation ditches, and wetlands. Pestmaster® Services is experienced in:
- Large and small-scale mosquito abatement programs
- Effectively treating and controlling both larval and adult mosquitoes
Bird Solutions (histoplasmosis, cryptococcosis, salmonella typhimurium)
One of the biggest problems pigeon and pest birds pose is the "evidence" they leave behind. Not only are bird droppings and nesting sites an aesthetic challenge, but a major health hazard too. More than 40 known viruses and 60 transmittable diseases, some fatal to humans, can be found in bird droppings. These birds also harbor many insects including lice, fleas, mites, and ticks. Pestmaster® Services provides:
- Bird exclusion
- Bird removal
- Decontamination and removal of all bird droppings and associated debris.

Rodent Control (Hantavirus)
Hantavirus infection is a serious, life-threatening illness caused by inhalation of the virus. The virus is carried in the airborne particles of rodent urine, droppings, and / or saliva. The primary carrier of Hantavirus is the deer mouse; however, the Centers for Disease Control has identified it in other rodents as well, including white-footed mice, cotton rats, and rice rats. The best protection against the virus is prevention and proper decontamination.
Pestmaster® Services can assist in prevention by:
- Providing recommendations on and performing exclusion
- Performing harborage site elimination
- Decontamination and waste removal
